The company
Carisma
was founded in 1975 in Turin, Italy, by Savina and Luigi Viano who still run the company. It is a member of the Italian Commercial Chemical Association (Associazione Italiana Commercio Chimico) and is part of the Responsible Care programme.
Carisma imports, exports and distributes liquid chemical products and is one of the European leaders in the sales of paint stripping solvents and bituminous primers.
In the 1970s it was one of the first Italian companies to produce recycled solvents and helped spread the idea of responsible ecological recovery of used solvents and the techniques for their correct reuse.
Around the same time it expanded its buying of raw materials and selling recycled products throughout Europe. Charisma became a recognised point of reference for the most qualified European recycling companies, commodity dealers and companies in the paints, solvents, adhesives, printing, detergents, surface treatments, textile additives, pickling and construction industries.
Since 1984 it has produced solvents and glycols for third parties: mixers, extractors, neutralisers, filtrations. Carisma is present in France, Switzerland, Belgium, Holland, England, Spain, Portugal, Poland, Hungary, Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia, Turkey and China.
